Fabric Care – what do all those symbols mean?

How often have you been confused by a fabric care symbol? More often than you want to admit, I am sure. This chart may help demystify those often unreadable or hard-to-understand laundry care symbols.

All fabrics should be prewashed before using them for quilting or embroidery. The filler that is used in the fabric can cause havoc if it is not removed by washing prior to working with the fabric.
