If you are sending a design to someone, be sure to include the “detail documentation” with the design. This will not only give the information about the design to the recipient but will also provide your business information.
If you are running a small embroidery business, a great way to make your products stand out is to provide a business card with the customer’s order. Your logo and business information will be on the front of the card and on the back you would add helpful information such as the type of embroidery thread used (i.e. rayon or polyester), caution against dry cleaning chemicals that may harm embroidery threads, pointers on how to keep your embroidery looking bandbox new, such as how to iron from the back side, never touch a hot iron to the threads on the top side, etc. Attach this to the customer’s products with a tag gun to look professional (you can find a quilter’s basting gun in any quilting store or sewing supply store).
Add a label to the garment stating “Custom Embroidered for you by …“. Again, this is not only a nice touch, but if you are a home-based embroidery business, free advertising.
Take the extra step to fold the item with tissue when presenting it to the customer. You will he amazed how much more professional your business will look and how much you can impress your customers with these little extras.
