Digitizing and Clipart
It doesn’t really matter which program you digitize with, the most important thing for those of us who have limited artistic talent when it comes to clipart is where to find not only reasonably-priced but also good quality clipart. Another very important criteria is the fact that it will not be clipart that is being used by thousands of other people.
There are many sites where you can purchase clipart, some are reasonably-priced, others are fairly expensive. But the most important thing is exclusivity. How many people will be using this same clipart?
Digitizing with Embird Studio and Importing Graphics
Now that you have the clipart, how do you use in in Embird Studio?
- Open Embird Studio
- Click on edit/preferences/hoop size. Choose the correct size hoop for your embroidery format and click on ok.
- You will be back in the main workspace. Click on image on the top toolbar and then import. You will be asked to fit to hoop or not to fit to hoop. If you choose yes, fit to hoop, the clipart will be scaled to fit the correct hoop size. If you choose no, then the clipart will import at a size of 100 pixels = 1 cm.
- Click on ok and you now have the clipart in Studio as a background image and are ready to begin the digitizing process.
Happy Digitizing!
